Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, in 1564. Little is known about his life however, he did right more than 37 plays. William Shakespeare's work was mostly comedies, histories and tragedies. He wrote 17 comedies, 10 historic plays, and 10 tragedies.
