In the begining Romans tollerated any religon if it didn't threaten their security or society. The romans thought of themselfs as collective terms in groups either family, trade, or state. So that their empire went smoothly. The Christians got a horrible death, they would get exicusion. Nero is the one who started it all by having to aquse someone, anyone about how Rome burnt. He decided to chose Christianity because he thought that the realigon of Christianity was asect to Judaism.
