In1755 Britan sent 1400 soldiers to clear out the French in ohio, the soldiers were lead by General Braddock. In this Army was also George Washington.
The march into the state's valley was a disaster the red suits of the british soldiers were easy to see by sharpshooters and the indians.
In that battle even Washington barely escaped death, Washington had to lead the remaining soldiers to safety.

Cause for the war
The colinists Feared the french influence in america and wanted the french cleared away from america.
Native american claims were ignored so the english colonines could continue with the beaver pelt econimy.
The French were frightend by the British anti-catholisum institute and didn't want to give it up for the british law still was under the cacatholisum persicution.
Mayjor events in the war and the war itself
Britian officials declared war on france May 15 1765, the war was the last of the 4 colonial wars and lasted 7 years the war was placed against the french and
british the Native americans were playing on both sides but was mostly playing for the french.
After the British campain lost in 1755 (see above) many wars were won by the french including: Fort Oswego, Fort William Henry, Fort Duquesne, and Carillon.
The win for the british on lake georgia secured the hudson valley, In 1756 came William Pitt with his leader ship and France's ignorance eventually turned the tide for british favor and different forts were reclaimed in 1757/58. the french eventually negociated a surendur with brittan and the citizens were allowed to stay in the colonies and keep catholisum undisturbed, the sick and injuerd troops were cared for and the original troops were shiped back.
