JPEG/JPG:

    JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group.  JPEG is a compression technique for photographic images.  The compression is accomplished by the picture being divided into little pixle blocks until the amount of compression is accomplished.  JPEG can be created on hardware or software.
