Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc, also known as The Maid of Orleans was an amazing woman. She was born in Domremy, France in the year of 1412. No one is sure of the date of her birth. She played a big pert in the Hundred Years War. During the war she was convinced of having visions from god. In these vision god told her to take back France from the English. The uncrowned King Charles VII sent her on a mission to Orleans and had many victories there.

            After winning many battles, she fell. In a battle to take back Paris, she was wounded, but turn down leaving the battle as an option. Later in the Spring she was imprison by the English and held to trial. She was burned at the stake on May 30, 1431 because of heresy. She was 19 years old. But she did not die in vain. She was a strong woman fighting in a war, which was unheard of in that time period. She was a leader.
