Welcome to the CSMH History Wiki Project

Overview:

Students at the Charter School of Morgan Hill have created this history wiki based on the topics they will be studying this year. This page is intended to act as an overview for the school year, but can later be used as a resource for test review or simply a reference when needed. 7th Grade students are covering topics on World History, with a focus on the Middle Ages. 8th Grade students are covering topics on U.S. History from the colonies through 1900. To view a specific page, click on the link in the sidebar on the right.

Directions:

1. Students will select their topic in class.

2. When completing research, students will write a two to three paragraph essay on their topic. The first paragraph or two will cover the details of the event or the life of the person chosen. This should include important people who were involved in the event or the persons life. The final paragraph will cover the importance of the event or impact the event had on history or modern life.

3. The wiki must have one picture related to the topic and all sources must be cited using the proper format (listed in the handout). A minimum of two sources must be cited, one for their source of information (probably the text book) and the other where they found the image.

4. This assignment must be completed by August 31st, 2007.
